Use general guidance carefully

ADA describes a child-sized toothbrush with a small head and soft bristles, with adult supervision as coordination develops. This is general selection context, not a measured endorsement of every product labeled kids.

Keep measurements honest

The checked up&up listing gives an overall5inch length, not a separately measured brush-head length and width. Do not copy the overall handle measurement into a head-size field or infer dimensions from a photograph.

Avoid a cleaning guarantee

A smaller head or soft descriptor does not establish a personal clinical outcome. We have not measured cleaning, pressure, bristle wear or a child’s handling ability and do not rank products by invented tests.

A practical check to keep

If a maker does not supply head dimensions, say head dimensions not exposed. A5inch total length includes more than the brushing head and should not become a measured small-head specification. A generic close-up here is an illustration, not a calibrated image from which an exact brush-head size can be recovered.
